Laura McDonagh TEP

Laura McDonagh is a Solicitor and Head of the Wealth Management and Taxation team at Allan Janes. She has extensive experience in all private client matters, having trained in the city and more recently at a leading regional firm. Since qualifying in 2017, she has developed a strong reputation for her expertise in tax planning, estate and trust administration, and preparing wills and lasting powers of attorney.

Laura enjoys all aspects of private client law, but most recently:

She has enjoyed assisting clients with trust administration where beneficiaries have additional needs
She has worked on complex estate administration, including estates with assets in multiple jurisdictions  

Laura particularly enjoys assisting vulnerable clients and championing their needs. She has a personable and empathetic approach, which resonates well with clients, often during the most challenging periods of their lives. Clients praise her for clear and straightforward advice, making the legal process more accessible and less daunting.

Laura is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) having completed the Diploma in Trusts and Estates in 2020, and is currently acting as Treasurer for their Thames Valley branch.

At home, Laura enjoys running, gardening and going to the Theatre, and is a Mum to a little boy and girl, who keep her social calendar busy.
