We are currently looking for a Legal Assistant to work in our Private Wealth and Taxation Department, on a full time basis. You will need to be confident in Word, Excel and Outlook, but full training will be given on our electronic case management system. Previous adminstrative experience (legal or otherwise) is preferred but not required.
Key duties would include

Typing and preparing correspondence, documents and forms with a high degree of accuracy from audio dictations. Experience with case management software 'Partner for Windows' and dictation software 'BigHand' is preferred but not essential

Opening, updating and closing matter files and ensuring file compliance.

Preparing bills.

Corresponding with clients, as requested by fee earners, via email, phone and face to face.

Taking initial initial enquiries from clients for a braod range of private client matters (Wills, estate adminstrations etc).

Preparation of all forms of documentation commonly used in private client matters such as powers of attorney.
About you:

Organised with strong attention to detail.

Ability to manage and meet deadlines.

Competent in all MS Office packages.

Good document preparation skills

Self-motivated, strong communicator and able to work independently.
